Are you calling Erika Klein a pig Bob? It certainly appears that is what you meant by how you phrased your post ... Anyone with reasonable intellect and reading comprehension skills would already know that's neither what my message says nor is intended to convey. It makes me wonder what sort of def...

It's lipstick on a pig, Jonathan. Are you calling Erika Klein a pig Bob? It certainly appears that is what you meant by how you phrased your post and after all you're a man who says what he means right? What do you predict she will do Jonathan? Her best, Bob. I predict that Erika will do her best i...

She’ll lead a new communications strategy ... Right. That's what's been missing ... a "communications strategy". Isn't that what Paul Montville was supposedly hired to do a decade or so ago? Maybe they should try the one "communication strategy" they've been avoiding ... telling...

Congratulations Erika!

I just read in the USHPA newsletter: "Erika Klein is excited to join the USHPA in the new role of Communications Manager. She’ll lead a new communications strategy to reconnect with members, clarify the many changes of the past few years, and keep you updated on the organization’s works in prog...

Re: Moyes exempt from aluminum tariffs

....Willswing could see a 10% cost increase if it imports aluminum from Europe. Isn't Moyes' aluminum sourced from the same source in Europe? Don't they have to declare this when exporting to the U.S.? What's BobK doing about this Trumpesty? I know he's got all of our backs. http://www.ushawks.org/...

...(someone tell me how to make the images right) AFAIK Dropbox doesn't allow image hosting. It's a file sharing service that allows a link to the image but not an embed. All you can post is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nqgrmkd4s8ybdxp/Alabama launch.jpg and https://www.dropbox.com/s/st2ua708byis9f3/...

Thanks for the replies, To answer DQ's deleted reply. This was the falcon league, and you would have to see Lukens launch to understand the gravity of my screw-up. Didn't think anyone other than Bob & Doug read the forum so I zapped it. Can we all assume your were flying a single surface glider...

A Beautiful 8-Mile Glide Out!

Did a little cloud surfing yesterday from Marshall Peak then let myself get a little too low to stay in the thin lift band just below cloud base. This resulted in a an 8-mile glide out and arrival at my bailout with maybe 100' of altitude to spare. Enjoy! [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myua...

Don't Get Taco'd Anywhere

Greg, I was hoping the topic of this thread was to inform everyone that Towers Launch has re-opened. But alas... Markus' accident at Contract Point happened at 2PM PDT, May 9, 2015. There is no time of year when any portion of the spine from Locals up to Contract Point is ever safe, mid-day. Somewhe...
