After 3 days of the gophers kicking my ass, I bagged 2 today. The dead count is now 6. Russ says if I get just a couple more he can cook up enough gopher stew to feed everbody this Saturday.

Where have all the gophers gone?

As cute as the little creatures are, I have recently declared war on all LZ gophers. I do not know of any humane way to get rid of them so I have set multiple traps in the LZ to get rid of them. I am also working with a few others to undo the damage they have done (leveling mounts and filling ankle ...

Nice flight Jonathan.

I once landed in the same field, along with Andy and Ron - but we came from Kagel. Our goal was Santa Barbara but we got sucked down into the same field as you.

Jim,

I have a towing strap that will haul out those bushes. I will be there on Saturday and we can use my truck also. I have done this in the past and have the dents in my tailgate to prove it!

When cleaning the carnage from my Party last Saturday, I have found the following items that do not belong to me: Brown sunglasses Orange towel Black 2 piece bathing suit Tie-dyed top (Megan's I'm sure) White sneaker slippers Please claim them any time. I have them in my truck so flag me at the LZ o...

I called USC around 2 PM today to inquire about Janyce and we told that she is in room 1202 "awaiting surgery". This is an intensive care unit where there are no phones and the nurses give out very little information. Janyce CAN receive visitors for 5 minutes each hour, except between the ...

Janyce is in USC Medical Center

For those who do not know, Janyce Collins had a "hard landing" today, apparently flaring high at the end of the overshoot hill and pounding in hard enough to break her right arm and right foot. She spent many hours in Olive View Hospital but was transferred to USC Medical center at about 1...

The particpants were Phil Bloom, me and GREG KENDALL, not JT. Danny Black also started the trip with us but I believe he landed short of Ave L. I'm not really sure where he landed - ask Jay. The rest of us flew along the L range past several lakes, with the last one being Quail Lake, I believe. We c...

There is considerable more snow fall this year so late MAY be OK. However, I agree with Greg and this event will have better rafting in July than August.

Jim, Why wait? Post what you have now so people will see what they have to look forward to. I encourge you to think up your own stuff for the slackers that won't give you what you ask. We both have lots we can say about many pilots if they won't volunteer their own back ground. I am looking forward ...

I kinda like AC/JC - this one has the right "ring" to it. If it doesn't ring or ryme the chances are it won't catch on. This one does both so it has my vote.

J.C. - Breaking down litespeeds is good practice. You can start with mine next Saturday!

Contact Jay Devorak at 818-825-4304 for box availability answers.

Also, I have a Falcon 225 in good shape I may be selling. Let me know if the one you are looking at is not all you expect. Mine is in the LZ box and available for you to check out any time.
