Denise called me a few minutes ago and sounded very happy about Ron's progress:
The tracheotomy has been closed and Ron started eating yogurt but still has the feeding tube. They are working on muscle stimulation so he can gain better motor control. His right arm is still not moving much. He's walking with help, speaking a little and obeys commands, for the most part. His mother asked him in Hebrew, if he wanted to see Denise and he replied, "of course". He can also read a little. The attending psychologist mentioned to Denise that he somehow knows that he was in an HG accident.
The current worry is that the caregivers have warned that a spurt of good progress can be followed by a very slow period. Everyone is hoping not.
