You might want to rethink the posting because supposedly if you tag towers then you are immediately scored as a hang 3 in this comp according to the rules. As hang 2's, we're at a disadvantage because we can't 'tag' anything other than locals or trash (east trash).

Two awesome flights. Fun flying with everyone. Special thanks to Jim Shaw for getting me up and down the ridge.

Neck and neck
Ok, it's taken me 4 tries, but here's what I got yesterday:
Falcon 2
H3
Waypoints:
Locals
Towers
Trash
Time aloft:
1:02
GPS'd, and with Malury
On try number 3, Malury and I were out in the best conditions I've ever flown in -- but a little early in the day still. Since we were tied for 1st in round 2, I knew I just needed one more waypoint than him, so he stopped at trash and I went on to Lances, but then landed out at the beehives. Just rolled the dice and didn't find enough soon enough. I lost my glider in the chest high sage brush for awhile, after ditching it to wade over to the clearing and take off my harness. That was a funny predicament. Finally, I decided it'd be easier to walk back to the harness and pull out the radio and ask the nearby pilots (air support), and after 20' stumbled onto the glider again. (All in the roasting hot temps). Nancy picked me up on the side of the road and took me back up for the second attempt.
