Moyes Malibu-188 Single Surface Floater

Post by SlopeSkimmer »

I’m selling my 6 month old Moyes Malibu 188 hang glider. It is in like new condition with less than 10 hours of airtime. It is the best performing single surface glider you can get. It is grey with blue trim. I would like to get 2500 dollars for it. Check out the pictures and video and give me a call. Mike – 408-656-679nine or E-Mail - mike-jefferson at hotmail.com

Here is a video of glider a few weeks ago...

That is a darn fine lookin' wing!

I've only ever seen a Malibu once up close last summer in Crestline. Great wings, why are you getting rid of yours?

It looks like a nice glider.

At an advertised 9.5:1 glide, it is better than the XT and Sonic!

However I couldn't help notice that the video he included show him looping it and flying it in the rain setting up / taking down in mud¿

Looking at this, I am somewhat tempted. Only problem I see is that its max hook in weight is 110kg (242lbs) and I weigh 235lbs. My hook in weight would be over the rated amount and also I'd be on the far end of the wingloading as well.

Anyones thoughts on this? Currently I have a Falcon 1-225 but it has some leading edge issues and it is quite heavy.
