Point of the Mountain for the 4th of July?

Post by Steve90266 »

Pat and I have decided on Point of the Mountain, Utah for the 4th of July week end. We did it last year, and had such a great time, we're doing it again.

We're taking my trusty Scout, with the three little doggies and my glider in tow. We're taking off Wednesday, with a stop in Vegas that night. We should get to POM by Friday morning. Perhaps some of you would care to join us? Don't know where we're staying yet. We're making this up as we go.

Hope to see some of you there. The skies there are filled with Jellies. We need some HG pilots to represent!

Can we leave wednesday night?

The point is fun, but there is also lots of big mountain stuff in the area.
Look at this one. Easy drive up, tons of AGL, big "neighbor friendly" LZ.

This is how you do it. Fly the south side in the AM. Fly that place during the day. Then hit the north side until twlight.

Indubitably. I just got the exhaust system fixed. $600. New CAT, new Magnaflow muffler, new pipes, etc. Step 1 complete. Now for a new radiator. That's going to be another $600 installed.

Good to see you got a proper exhaust on that rig.
