Quantum 330 Reserve and Swivel (Sold)

$650. Just purchased last month. Paid $786 with tax and shipping. I bought a harness that has the capability of carrying two reserves, but with the second one installed I can't close the zipper.

First of all, thanks for having me along. Chippy wrote: "What did I learn: 1. There are more LZ’s than you think there are going east. 2. We can go east more often than we think we can 3. We don’t have to have 10,000 feet to make it into Crestline 4. When you need lift stay with what you ha...

So Cal Twitter

If anyone is interested I just opened a Twitter account https://twitter.com/SoCalXC with the idea of starting a pilot network here. Hopefully pilots would use the service to pass along information such as: their take on the weather conditions, what site has the most potential; where they plan to fly...

Just wanted to post that the glider is still for sale. Also wanted to say that it has only been out of the bag once since the original post. I've had a lot of calls but not from anyone who is qualified to fly it. Anyway the price is reduced further to $695.

I've decided that I need a new harness so I'm dropping the price even further to $750.

Price reduced to $900, but I just purchased another glider so I'm pretty motivated to sell. Remember a Tracer harness with reserve gets thrown in for free.

Re: Pine Saturday

Pine does look like the best bet. Anyone interested? Not to rub it in or anything, but you missed a good day. I was the low man of our group with a 68 miler to Mohave (got above 15k over Frazier). Tony Deleo made it all the way into Lone Pine. The other two pilots I was flying with landed near Garl...

You might want to consider Pine for Saturday. Great XC potential for the more experienced and light winds for the newbies.

Ventura County Sites

Just a heads up to let people know that both Ojai and Pine Mountain are now open. And for you guys that can fly mid-week, Pine is showing a lot of potential on Thursday.

You are really just paying for access to two sites as there are no day use charges for Santa Barbara or Elsinore (I think -haven't flown there in a few years so maybe things have changed). But a fund raiser for the area clubs is good idea.

Part 2 I guess

Continued... There was a nice cloud street back toward Kagel marking the SW/SE convergence. Mark Stuky, sitting on the ground watching his son play football near Edwards, got on the radio to confirm the upper level SE wind east of Rte 14. Despite the fact that at best we would be quartering against ...

DID ANYONE GO FAR LABOR DAY WEEKEND???? I heard rumors that Sebastian went to the Owens from Pine. I flew with Sebastian from Pine; here's a write-up: Joined up with a Kagel crew of Phil Bloom, Sebastian Lutges, Rick (sorry, didn't catch the last name) and driver Dana. Even though I live in L.A. Re: Front Rack

A suggestion: You might consult Dave Froschauer about how to do this and what a custom rack might look like - he does excellent work and might help advise you on what it would cost and where to go for the work. Thanks, JT. If you or anyone else knows how to get in touch with him could you please le...

Front Rack

Hi, We just purchased a new Honda Pilot. Does anyone know of a place in West LA where I can take it to be fitted for a front rack? Since my wife is going to be driving the truck the most I want to be able to take the rack off and on without having the fittings visible when it is not in use. Thanks i...
