Hello All, I had been meaning to mention to Joe that my dad recently retired from Los Angeles Building and Safety after working there since 1970. Anyhow I had been hearing others at the field discussing the B&S issues and I asked my dad about it and asked if he would be willing to look the plans...

Hello All, Being relatively new to this I can say that I do like the method in which Windsports uses to teach where safety is paramount. Since Hangliding is more about flying and less to do about checklists and such I can see how it can be easy to become complacent which could lead to unsafe habits ...

This was the first HG contest I had ever seen. I had a great time lying in the grass watching everyone spot land and also got to meet a few new people. Hopefully next year I can be more then a spectator.

Wanted - Used Cocoon for a big guy

Hello, Before I place an order with Joe for a new harness I figured I would see if anyone had one gathering dust they would be willing to part with. I am 6'3" and 235 lbs so I need a harness that is pretty big. The knee hangers I have used thus far on my tandems do not support me too well so I ...

Hello Joel, I can not help with the harness, but I know windsports has a nice Falcon 2 for sale. Its nearly new and in great shape. The sail is very crisp and I think it has very few hours on it. I almost bought it myself, but it was a bit out of my price range at the time. It has a blue leading edg...

Scooter tow, Auto Tow

Hello all, Sorta new here, and plan to join the club soon. For now all my money is going into training and buying gear, but once all the gear is bought then I can pay the club initiation. Ahyhow, upon poking around the net I see how other areas use the scooter tow method as well as auto tow. I am ju...

beer allowed?

Hello, Beer and flying dont mix too well, but I was sure if it is allowed at the party or if standard beach rules apply. If it is allowed my dad is a homebrewer and i could bring some with me. He even has a portable bar with 13 different taps, but that is a bit overkill I think. Otherwise i will bri...

I was curious if there are any spaces available in the cheaper storage box and if not how can I get on a waiting list. I will most likely join the club as soon as I...
