RASPTable Updated

Or more like weather education. I've posted information I use to help figure out the day. Often I'll also post graphics with explanations of "why" the weather guessers think the day is good.

RASPTable Updated

Post by AlC »

I've incorporated a number of upgrades into the Southern California Regional Atmospheric Soaring Predictor. The latest Dr. Jack RASP software has been loaded to generate the predictions and the interface has been enhanced thanks to Paul Scorer's work in the UK.

The sites are now all marked (scroll down the list of parameters to see the site numbers), the images can be zoomed with the mouse wheel, the parameter values can either be displayed on the image, or all the parameters for that point can be printed to a report. The Skew-T plots are now being generated for the entire forecast period (today and the next two days) for each site.

You can access the Rasp Model directly at http://www.soaringpredictor.info/raspta ... table.html, or through the
Southern California page at www.soaringpredictor.info.

Kagel is at the extreme edge of the 4km model and is not within the 1.3 km model. This RASP Model was built to nest with the more northern model run by Klaus at http://socal.wxmap.info/.

Northern Model

Post by AlC »

The northern RASP that Klaus was running is no longer there and the URL has been taken over by others.

I've added a more northern model to the SoaringPreditor site at http://www.soaringpredictor.info/raspta ... table.html.

Just went up last weekend and haven't added Ord, Blackhawk, etc.

Not sure it is really far enough north yet.

Comments?
