spam/scam or real email from the forum?

I was sent this message

from JamesCutter

Spam sending from your computer was detected.
We highly recommend you to check your computer and perform online virus check at our site immediately: ... /soaringSD
If you do not pass this test we will have to delete your account and forward a complaint to your ISP with attached log file (your IP address, etc.).

what is this about?

I received it also. When I looked at Who is Online, I noticed this:

The newest registered user is JamesCutter
In total there are 8 users online :: 3 Registered, 0 Hidden and 5 Guests [ Administrator ] [ Moderator ]
Most users ever online was 58 on Tue Jul 17, 2007 5:48 am
Registered Users: dnchappell, jrhesch, seahawk190

Clicking on his name I found this:

Location: US
Occupation: manager StopSpam organization
Interests: sport

I got the same thing.

My guess; Its a spam bot trying to get you to click the link their website
