Mucho thanks to Andy Beem and Emily Brown for their gracious hospitality in hosting a wonderful weekend of flying and carousing in Ojai.
I've been looking at the Ojai bluffs since I was stationed at Port Hueneme in 1966-68, when they would be covered in snow from December through April. I've flown Ojai four times before, but on Sunday, I finally got to fly the Topa Topas.
Then I came out and loafed around for an hour in those beautiful valley thermals from the fields of upper Ojai.
A unique flying experience. Great weekend. Excellent company.
Is this a great bunch of people, or what?
Special thanx to Hungary Joe, for finding my drogue chute deployment bag.

atos
is it true or a viscious rumer that the only glider that didn't make it andys was an atos?
Actually it's a "viscus" rumor that only the Atos didn't make the LZ. Much of what I say doesn't hold water. I just throw my absurdities out there for the fun of it. The Atos landed a couple of fields beyond Awhai Ranch. To hear Larry describe it, he was the only one with balls enough to go XC. It could be he was after one of those world famous milkshakes from the Summit Cafe.
