Thanks Mallury for driving my RAV4 many miles to pick me up and to Adam for providing the truck ride up to launch and Oscar for making the suggestion yesterday and Erwin for being available to drive retrieve and Tom for whispering into his overly sensitive 2-meter mic and Sony for being a really good sport.
After 24 miles in two tiring hours of flying...............
The video files came out nice. I'll edit something soon. All I can say is that it was not such a great day for XC. I topped out at 10K at the corner of Boomer Ridge and even the sailplane below me could not get up. I flew down range a few miles and just sink. The only good thermal felt like the glider was going to tumble so I headed out toward the highway and looked for a clearing near the road to set down. It was gusty and switchy near the ground but it was a safe, no-whack landing.
