reminds me of the 3-D simularor I flew on windows 3.1 of a hang glider on a beach with aerial targets to tag.
VR is slowly getting incrementally better.
on an unrelated idea, what is the training cost and or difficulty/cost to convert a P-3 into an H-2, if an amnesty program were instituted. Paragliders are relatively unsafe in desert conditions near the ground. How much of their trining is usable as a prerequisite to to a hang glider rating? A one day seminar?

A paraglider pilot may understand all the flying theory and micrometeorology required to hang glide but they will not possess the subtle muscle memory required to actually fly a hang glider. It's like thinking you can wind surf because you can sail. While a hang glider pilot might be able to spend a few hours learning to ground handle a paraglider and then could semi-safely launch off a mountain in smooth non-thermic conditions, the converse is not true. (Of course without some advanced instruction a hang glider pilot turned paraglider pilot would be ripe for busting their ass in rowdy conditions.)
The bottom line is you can fly a paraglider hands off for a long time without having to do anything to make it fly straight at trim speed. You can do that on a hang glider for a few seconds.
