Friday's the day to watch ...........
Looks like "potential" altitudes around 9 - 10k and higher down range. May be the day to fly to Crestline. Looks like a convergence day down the San Gabriel's.
Saturday is still a day out from prediction, we'll see by 4:00 pm on Wednesday.

Saturday's looking very good .......
Updated BlipMaps show Saturday looking SWEEEET. Altitudes approaching 11k , light winds aloft and strong lift (convergence likely).
It's been a couple of years since we got some good spring flying. If one is to believe the BlipMaps then it should be a good couple of days.
Friday's looking at a solid 10k still.

Pine Saturday
Pine does look like the best bet. Anyone interested?
Re: Pine Saturday
Not to rub it in or anything, but you missed a good day. I was the low man of our group with a 68 miler to Mohave (got above 15k over Frazier). Tony Deleo made it all the way into Lone Pine. The other two pilots I was flying with landed near Garlock.gregangsten wrote:Pine does look like the best bet. Anyone interested?
John
Great Call John
I know ............
Saw the posts on the SBSA site and wanted to kick myself. Had a few family obligations that day. Friday was OK, but nothing like you all had.
I think we'll get a good crew to Pine sometime in May.
Hope to see you there. Sorry Greg, we should have jumped all over it.
