Manfred Ruhmer flies a Swift Light 483 miles from the World Record Encampment in Zapata, Tx. for a new Class 2 hang glider distance record. The Swift is a rigid wing glider with a fairing for the pilot, as permitted in Class 2. Rigid wings without fairings, such as the ATOS, are Class 5 gliders.
