Hi y'all,,
The Windsports Big Sur trip is scheduled for September 28-30, 2012. Kat Shaw and I have reserved five (5) campground spots so we'll have a place to set up camp. If you are interested in joining us, please let me know at czumpft@singular.com and I will add you to my mailing list. Last year, the trip cost $25 per pilot (which covers two nights, two breakfasts, & lunch).
Flying is open to moderate to high H2's (with Joe's supervision, so check with him if you are not sure) and above. Last year we had about 25 pilots and another 25 in support/ground crew. Even though we only got to fly one day (fogged in on Saturday), everyone had a really great time! BTW, the previous year, pilots got 5K over launch with multi-hour flights, so you never know...
Big Sur is truly an unforgettable place to fly!
Send me an email if you have any questions or hopefully, winds willing, I'll be in the LZ after a flight this weekend.

If you're making the trip, best to get out of LA before the big "Carmageddon 2" sets in on the 29th!

Mike, I am glad you can make it. The plan would be to converge at the LZ at 12 for a 1PM go. Should take us about 10 hours to make the trip.
Don't worry, Max has been diligently working on the Scout and says every little bug has been worked out of the engine.
See you guys at the LZ on the 30th!
