News From Windsports

Julianne Sikora made her first solo on Sunday afternoon after the
normal battery of training we provide. Julianne's a private pilot
and member of the national female pilot's association call the
"99's". She did well on her 195 Falcon 2..

Our "Outlanding Clinic" was successful with 14 pilots in
attendance. We had 75 minutes of lecture/discussion. Then we
visited and discussed and planned approaches at "the hospital",
"below the red spot", "Kagel Cyn", the "bee hives", and the "Dam L/
Z". Next, we toured the shooting range to see the danger from the
'"gunman's" perspective. Pilots were amazed by what they saw and
very glad we made the trip. Finally we drove up the hill in time for
soaring flights and pre-planned landings at the base of the dam.
All fliers had perfect landings.

Big Sur Trip in the works for next weekend. Still room for more
pilots and their friends.

Since most of us are anticipating the Forest Service closing Kagel
Launch this fire season, there has been discussion of Kagel
instructors providing Towers Launch training and possible sign-off's
for hang 3's. Hang 3's can email me for details at info@windsports.com
