Big Sur on the 4th for Hang 2's

Post by greblo »

I'm running a hang 2 lesson trip up to Big Sur's Plaskett Creek flying site on the weekend of the 4th of July. Students can call or email me for information. Any intermediate or advanced rated pilots that aren't going to the club's Hurricane trip, are welcome to come up and fly with us.

If you've never been to Big Sur, we think of it as Yosemite by the Sea. It's a beautiful sea coast setting w/ long glides from a 3,000 ft. vertical Oak and Pine covered forest. Landings are on an immense plateau 50 ft. above the ocean. Camping, campfires, friends and flying is the order of the weekend.

Let us know if you're interested and we'll email further details.

Grant means check the Windsports Kagel-Kam. The main Windsports web site doesn't have the information on it.

Strange that the TFR allows us to fly, but the Forest Closure doesn't let us launch or land.
