All are invited next Saturday, October 4th, to help improve the LZ. The plan (which is subject to change) is to clear up 2 areas in the wash. One area is the well known "numbers" where the H2's & H3's land. The other area is for the H4's, beyond the grass in the wash. As explained to me (and if I remember correctly), there's a bit of a sand bar that will potentially become an H4 overshoot area. If someone has pictures of the areas, or can comment, please post.
In addition, there will be an SHGA sponsored breakfast. A generous amount of pancakes have been donated via my grandfather. Jim Thomson has graciously volunteered to serve as 'chef du jour'. I have it on good authority he is an excellent cook. There will also be eggs, bacon, orange juice, various fruits, and maybe some bagels.
We'll start serving pancakes at 8:00, and keep cooking till everyone's full. We'll begin working after breakfast, anywhere from 8:30 to 9:00. If you have them, please bring the following: work gloves, shovels, hoes, wheel barrow, rakes, hatchets, large clippers, etc. Any typical tools for clearing weeds and moving dirt. There will be masking tape and felt markers so you can mark your stuff.
See you all on October 4th!
