A WONDERUL co-worker of mine is fighting for his life.....he was in the Metro Link crash in Chatsworth a few weeks ago. They are having a golf tournament for him.
Mike Kloster is a great guy and would do anything for anybody. It is really sad that he was hurt so badly....almost losing his life if it weren't for our other co-worker David Dolnick, who brought the trauma nurse to Mike.
Originally, Mike was tagged as not an emergency BUT Dave knew Mike had sufferend internal injuries and the trauma nurse upgraded Mike to EMERGENCY and he was airlifted to UCLA.
If it weren't for Dave, Mike would NOT be alive.
Here is a message from one of his family members:
"Hi everybody,

I have taken leadership on this, but the real credit goes to Alan Rowland and my Dad Dave and everyone else that has volunteered so far.
We need more volunteers, golfers, and sponsors and donations.
I know there are so many people that care and love Mike; this website is evident of that. Let's do something real special for him, my Aunt Christi, the kids, Barbara and Ed, and the rest of the family!!!

Soooooooo, if you are a golfer or know someone who is.....please let me know and I will pass along the info as I get it. It is really for a great cause because Mike is a GREAT guy!!!!

Here is what I received from Mike's nephew, Jason:
"Hi Julieann,
Yes, sponsoring a hole does make sense. What happens is for $125 we put up a sign in the tee box saying "this whole is sponsored by..." and you fill in the blank with either names (individual or company), or a special message or pretty much whatever you want.
Regarding everyone that wants to help, "experts" say it takes 9 months to put on a successful golf fundraiser, we're trying to do this in 6 weeks. It will be successful though because of everyone that wants to help. We need people to continue passing the email and if anyone wants to donate valuable memorabalia or can get a company to donate a product or service for the silent auctions/ raffles we are going to have that'd be excellent.
Also, the day of the tournament we will need help with everything from registration desk, to putting contests, or spotters on the course to speed up play. There is more but I think you get the picture.
Thank you for your interest, it's going to take everyone pulling together to make this a success but it's so worth it, my Uncle is that special!
