Kareening Around Kagel - A Time-Lapse Video

Post by JD »

O.k. You've seen my video of climbing in the tight thermal core on Tuesday. Well, here's the entire 85-minute flight in a 3 1/2 minute complete re-edited with a soundtrack by Iggy Pop. I hope you all enjoy viewing it as much as I did doing the edit. Click here for high quality version...........................

Looks like you prefer to thermal right :)

Most og your good altitude gains are to the right and tighter than the left turns. :o

Lefty - Loosey, Tighty - Righty

I am indeed a righty when it comes to thermalling. I will reverse directions when I get tired.

My stats:

Circling: Time Vario Alt.Gain Alt.Loss Thermals
Total 00:46:11 (55%) 124.3fpm 8189ft -2448ft 12
Left 00:10:07 (22%) 140.7fpm 1788ft -364ft 2
Right 00:29:48 (65%) 128.7fpm 5571ft -1736ft 9
Mixed 00:06:16 (14%) 77.0fpm 830ft -348ft 1

BTW - If you pay for Naviter SeeYou in Euros, it's cheaper. My cost earlier this week was $166.55 instead of $179.00. Enough to sway me along with the sale of some spare bike parts. ;-)
