Sebastian fronted the Club over $600 for the supplies and equipment to make cell phones work better in the LZ.

For those of you who don't know, Seabass bought a "cell phone booster." which amplifies the signal for cell phones.

As most of us know, cell phone coverage in the LZ has been terrible for years. The only place any of us could use our phones was out by the overshoot ramp.

Sebastian fixed that. Now cell service is great all around the gazebo area and beyond.

Not only did he go $600 out of pocket for the hardware, Seabass did practically all the work to install it. I know that others helped with this, and they deserve due credit.

The Club agreed to match Club members' contributions to this project, so that members would have to come up with a little over $300 in contributions.


So far, after several weeks, we have received only about $100 in contributions.

That's pretty lame, guys. Seabass is out of pocket - - big time.

If 40 people chipped in $15 apiece, we'd have the whole amount.

That's the price of one ride up the hill. I'm in for $20 and I'm not a big cell phone user.

How about it? Let's give Seabass a little Christmas present and show him that we appreciate his efforts for all of us.

If members' contributions go over the top, my vote is to give Seabass at least a portion of the excess, for his research, time and effort.

I placed money in a "day use" envelope with the word "Cell" on the envelope - maybe 4 - 6 weeks ago. Anyway to make sure Seabass got the money?
