At least when I fly down through a marine layer I bring a reliable GPS so I know WTF I am headed. These Boy Scouts took a hike from launch down through the marine layer without a compass and nearly ended up on the side of a milk carton. At least they had a cell phone that gets a signal. Phill had the goodness of heart to grant me an exclusive videotaped interview regarding their mis-adventure. Well, sort of.
