In 1978, hang glider pilot, Clay Lockett suffered a fatal accident while test flying a Delta Wing in Simi Hills. His survivors have requested that a local pilot, who knew Clay in the 70's, make a memorial flight. In honor of Clay’s life and his love for hang gliding we expect to have his wife, Liz, and a small group of friends in the Landing Zone this coming Saturday afternoon. They should arrive around 2pm. Please make them welcome and spread the word throughout our membership.

Per the families’ request, this notice is being included as an entry on the Pilot Forum so pilots may comment and add to the spirit of the pioneers of hang gliding. With out them we would not fly quite as free...

Soon we fly (safely)
