ALL YOUS GUYS WHO FLY OFTEN, SHOULD PHONE DAVE WITH YOUR FLIGHT RESULTS. IT'S THE LEAST YOU CAN DO FOR ALL HIS WORK. ROME

Dear Rome,
You always set an exemplary standard for the rest of us slackers to fall short of. I can't remember all the times that you have made a suggestion for improvement and followed up on it. What an asset to the club! I believe that your persistence and dedication are the foundation for all that has been accomplished since the formation of the SHGA.

What would we do without you and your contributions?

(even though you no longer pay dues)

I have emailed Dave a few times - but not often.

I suspect it would be nice to be able to tell him the max altitude at various locations - ie Kagel Ridge, West Towers, Lukens. This information is most likely readily attainable by someone sitting around the LZ when all the pilots are talking about their flights. Someone that can put their feet up and take in all the relevant information. Someone that is not distracted by embellishing their own flight. Someone that is not distracted by having to pack up their glider. Someone ...

Any thoughts who some of those Someones could be???

Someones who could really use a computer and e-mail? Or maybe Someones who could be articulate over the phone? Who could you possibly have in mind, Don?

I always email DC after flying to give my "report". His forecasts are pretty darn accurate. I periodically do better than his "max altitude", but not often. I even use his forecasts to decide if I'm flying or not, so I hope he keeps them coming....
