Great Sylmar Party and Second Sundays at Torrey
Great Party Lynn!!
Thanks to you and the SHGA for putting this on. You have a great club and a great group of people. I was glad to meet more of them face to face (this forum isn't always the best way to get to know folks). I'm sorry to have "slipped away" so early, but it was a long drive back to San Diego. But your party (and the great "roast") was well worth the trip!
Also, I just wanted to let all Sylmar folks know that we're doing our best to keep hang gliding alive and well here in San Diego. To that end, we've been holding an informal fly-in for the Torrey Hawks on the Second Sunday of every month. We usually have some free food (mostly sandwiches, chips, and cookies), and a few of our tandem pilots are often available to take non-H4 pilots for flights. The next Second Sunday is December 13th, so please come on down and join us!!

Bob,
Thanks for the kind words and especially thank you for making the drive. I am sorry that we did not have a chance to speak personally. Your informal fly-in sounds great. I've never flown Torrey and it sounds like getting a group of us together to make the trip would be fun. Likely it will have to be after the New Year but I know several H4's that have an interest in checking out Torrey.
Please feel free to pass on the news about our Parachute clinic. We welcome all qualified pilots. If you need further information, just let me know.
Cheers!
