At the just completed USHPA Bod meeting, local pilot Owen Morse was chosen as the recipient of the associations highest award, the Presidential Citation, for his display at John Wayne airport. I am told nearly a million people saw the exhibit.

I heard it was great - even from a non-pilot. I believe it is behind security. Is the exhibit still there? If so, any idea for how much longer?

The gliders are on display for another year or so. The exhibits in the display cases have rotated out.

Its a great marketing idea. USHPGA should sell their their building and make a Superbowl TV commercial to reach millions more. Hire that annoying marketing company that uses a rockstar dressed in white that tries to sell milk. It seems the more annoying the better and to have nothing to do with what your trying to sell.

Does this mean they are bringing back the Batso?(Bamboo bomber) They could give away the plans in a box of Cheerios.
