I was just wondering... Whatever happened to the launch ramp expansion? Wasn't the extension of the retaining wall completed?

The ramp appears to be much lower these days. The extra steps probably aren't needed with the demise of the brush but the center of the ramp is a loose-dirt ditch. The rain would help compact any relocated soil.

Is there a plan for completion of the project?

I wondered that too. For a pee-wee like me, launching in a hole is most uncomfortable. I'd be happy to shovel some dirt if that's what it takes. Otherwise, I guess I'll need those 5" hooker heels and a new launch technique to help out.

Don't make me go there. : (

We've received an offer of help, from a landowner with a big caterpillar dozer. Between his machine and mine, we hope to be able to do some good stuff up there.

It's a matter of coordination and weather now. I can't tell you when it may happen, but hopefully soon.

Forget the ramp work - at least until we all see Lisa launch in 5" Hooker Heels. Photos of the launch and the landing could make it to the Center Fold of the next USHPA Mag !
