Greblo and His Sidekick Sancho Tractor Save the LZ

Post by JT »

I got a call to bring out my compressor because Joe's loader had a flat. When I got there he had already used Erwin's little lighter-powered gadget to fill the big tire enough to get out to the wash. He had started diverting the water that had broken through the berm Hayden built last spring. The water was all over the wash-LZ and cutting through the ramp to the upper zone. Eventually, Joe filled the breach with boulders and mud and the flood was diverted back to the channel away from the lower flats. Without his toy, we would soon be back where we were two or three years ago with no place for H2s and H3s to land.

NOW DO YOU THINK THE CLUB SHOULD BUY THE TRACTOR? DUH!!!

No, Rome, I think you should buy it and donate its service to the club, just as Joe has. That would be really great. Hell, I'll name the pavilion ("GAZIBO", to you) after you, instead of the Dahlstens. Think of your posterity (that's not your butt, in case you were wondering). You'd be in our hearts, forever. What a guy.
