Sylmar Hang Gliding Association

What a year this has been. Lots of bad, and some good for this year 2009. I dont know about you all but I am glad to see this year fade into the past.

Besides my glorious wife, joining the Sylmar Hang Gliding Association was one of the best things that happened in my life this year. I have spent one day out of six soaring(sledding) with you all and I have enjoyed very minute.(No Oscar...........I dont wnt to hear what you ratio was )

I look forward to many more years of flying, and would like to thank all of you for making this such a glorious community to be a part of!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to give Windsports a BIG shout-out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You made it all possible!!!!!!!! Thanx!!!!!!!

Happy Holidays Matt ,

Hold up there buddy you still got 6 days to go until the year is officially over.Next year we'll have to work on improving your Soaring flight Ratio,It will get better .well the coals are ready, I got to get cook-in .were having apple and hickory wood smoked turkey this year and it's going to take a long time about Five hours in the smoker.Happy Holidays to you and to all my flying/Driving buddies out there.

Hey Matt, I'm right there with you! I look forward to increasing my glide ratio right along with you! Oscar, any help you can give is much appreciated. Happy New Year!

Seven simple instructions to follow for more, better flights:

1. Unless your wife is a driver, no matter how glorious she is, give her up on the weekends, weekdays, too, if you're retired (i.e., Rome, Rob).
Corollary I: Beware of "Honey do..."s; put them off until an unflyable day.
Corollary II: Buy her lots of pretty things so she'll forget the above issues; expensive is best, jewelry a must (see #2).

2. Find a job that pays a lot but is easy to get done by 11AM.

3. Retire early from your high paying job.

4. Move to Sylmar.

5. Fly more (not a problem, if you get #s 1, 2 and 3 right).

6. Buy a LiteSpeed.

7. If you have to spend time with your wife and she might come out and drive for you, don't tell her stories about the cougars and rattlesnakes in the mountains ( Steve!).
