Hi, Rome.  Thanks for keeping in touch.  Still living in Hawaii. Last HG flights were at Valle de Bravo 2 or three years ago.  Now flying sailplanes, one at Tehachapi where I spend much of the summer flying x-c and one here, which I am about to exchange for a two place, to be able to share the incredibly beautiful soaring along the entire length of Oahu along the Kooalaus, with frequent visitors and family.  Larry Mace visited me at Tehachapi for a few days last summer, and Chris Price dropped by in his 18-wheeler (he has been driving for many years now) plus the three dogs he carries with him.  Great seeing him again.  Larry is still flying trikes, but stopped HG years ago.  He lost his landing skills at some point.  After he stopped drinking decades ago, he became (almost) nice to know, although he has "divorced" many of the close friends he had in the past.  Something to do with his mother, I think.

I am recovering from multiple blood clots in my lung released during a 10 hour return flight from Manila on a two week medical/dental mission to the Philippines.  The danger is real.  I expect a good recovery.  I'm almost back to normal now.  Be sure to exercise, and take aspirin before long flights.

Good for you, hang in there.  What's E.O. week?  I miss HG, but get a similar pleasure out of flying gliders.  I'll probably HG again when I lose some more weight and get my knees operated on.  I've lost 20 lbs since the emboli.

Say hello to anyone who remembers me.  Best Holiday wishes for you and yours.--Dennis
