looking for some wheels

Post by addicted2climbing »

Hello,

I am unhappy with the wheels that were installed on my falcon by the previous owner. I have heavy wheelbarrel wheels and I'd like to switch over to some plastic Mag scooter type wheels. My Falcon has a foldable controll bar with a speedbar so my wheels attach to brackets that are bolted to the control bar. I'd like to keep this arangement, but just change the wheel style. Anyone have a set of Mag wheels theyd like to part with? I need some that can accept bearings or bushings and then I will make a new spindle that will slide into my brackets.

Take care,

Marc

I was working on the design of a "Pac Man" style wheel. You can leave your folding base tube attached to your downtubes with the wheels still on the control bar when you pack up the glider. The down tubes fit into the notched open mouth of the pac man. After the glider is set up a portion of the wheel slides and locks closing the mouth of the pac man making it totally round.

The idea came about from a Cloudbase video showing a competition at Sandia Peak in New Mexico where the competition starts the moment the truck stops. You race to set up your glider and get in line to launch. You have 30 seconds to launch(in a launch window) or you go to the end of the line.
