Hello,
I have a few battons that the ends are starting to split and I would like repair the ones that are splititng and reinforce the area on the ones that have yet to split. Anyhow a few ideas I have are to sleeve it with another thin wall of aluminum or brass tube (depending on what tube I can find that will have a similar ID to go over the OD of the batten) or I have a bunch of Carbon Tow and can just wrap some tow with epoxy and some layup tape to keep it pulled tight to the batten while it cures. I am leaning toward the tow method, but before I do it I was curious what the most common fix is.
Take care,
Marc
