Hello SHGA member and instructors,
I'd be happy to setup some tandem flights for hang gliding students who have achieved at least their Hang I. More importantly, I'd like to make this offer to prospective new students and current students working toward their Hang I.
My only caveats would be that the students are in the LA area, have trained with WindSports or another school I am familiar with, and are fairly light (perhaps under 170#) as I am not a "professional" tandem pilot and only set up for foot landings (not roll in).
The strength of our club and all the great camaraderie is sustained by new pilots offsetting normal membership attrition. I am hoping this offer will be an additional incentive for new pilots. Please feel free to mention this to anybody you know who is considering trying hang gliding lessons if you think it might help them to make the decision to get started with beach lessons.
