Call these people up and say: "Let me make a diversion in between comps by flying a glider in there."

Here is the math:
These fans create 30knots across the pools length. That allows the windsurfers to quickly accelerate for big flips and 360s.

It seems obvious we don't need 30 knots. Lets check though:

As you know. The conversion is 100 Feet/minute =almost= 1 knot.

Say you want the gliders sinking at 300 feet/minute while gliding around on average. And you want them to be able to climb at 300 fpm.

All you need it 6 knots straight up. If you had a 45 slope. now you need 8.5knots for the same 6k vector.

Such as 30/8.5= 3.5. It seems like the same about of fans needed for the windsurfing could make a soarable envelope of 3.5 times the size of the windsurfing arena.
