fly with a camera this weekend

Post by jcflies »

There are these two amazing juvenile hawks who hang around Trash and Lances. I encountered them at 3700' asl, above Trash. They were dive-bombing each other, doing rolls, hammerheads, and clearly having FUN! One of 'em came and joined me in my thermal and we climbed to 4800' together. Then, it was almost as if he LOOKED at me and said, "You're getting boring." He dove a few hundred feet, did a few rolls, and joined the glider below me, as it climbed out. When I got back from Lances, they were still there, cartwheeling and tearing it up! If you have a camera, you might get some stunning photos. And they'll let you get pretty close!

Yesterday, I caught on video, one of Janyce's pet ninja assassin hawks above Trash.
