Since Jews don't really camp (we prefer hotels), I don't have any camping gear. Could previous Big Sur participants let me know what to take, apart from a tent and sleeping bag, since I'm pretty clueless.
Also, can anyone lend or rent me the equipment if you're not going?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
I have an extra tent you can sleep in. I'll bring it and help you set it up/down.
As for sleeping bags, they're pretty cheap. If nobody has one you can borrow, they're $10 to $15 at Big 5.

You don't need some expensive, below freezing mummy bag. It's just a couple of nights, and it doesn't get that cold where were at. Maybe bring a blanket too.
As for food, your breakfast and lunch are covered. For dinner, I'll have some hot dogs (Hebrew National) and hamburgers for anyone who's hungry Saturday night. Otherwise, bring a cooler with a dinner. There's plenty of campstoves and pots/pans to borrow. Or just cook over the fire.
Bring a flashlight (some cheap, small LCD), jacket, sweater, couple of change of clothes, snacks or trail mix for hang waiting, and your own soda (or other drink). Not to mention toiletries.
