Gazebo Ramp Construction

Post by Glenn »

This thread is to organize the construction of the ramp.

We need plans first.
Is there a detailed drawing of this thing? If not, I can start one, and update it with info as provided to me here. I'm not sure exactly where the ramp goes, or the specifics of the code requirements. Is that available somewhere?

The plans for the ramp are incorporated with the construction plans. The first item is to build the two retaining walls. Removal of the flagpole, the drop-post and probably the tree must be done. Fill will follow with grading, then the decompsoed granite paths. Landscaping will be left up to those with knowledge of native plants.

If it's definitely part of the plan, then someone can get on with removing the flagpole. and drop post right?

If someone can lay out the location, we can start digging the ditch for the foundation of the retaining wall. Do we have someone that knows how to lay this foundation? I've laid some block before, but I don't know what code requires. If we got some block, we could put lust lay them in place to temporarily preserve the ditch until we get the cement ready. Then do it in parts as time is available.

I'm just trying to find ways to keep it moving in small steps in between the big pushes.
