the first and original shga club was formed years before the artical lists it as. we were getting thrown out of 1 landing area after another.our first president was francy freeman, (a gourgous blond with deep blue eyes) i'll try to find my old log books, but lots of luck with 3,500 flights. rome

you rock, rome! our sport rocks, and the fact that our site was an early west coast hub of hg rocks! but, we AREN'T the "World Capital of HG" We may have been 40 years ago, but we aren't NOW! "The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there."

Just add OUNCE WAS!! to the title. Should worry about the claim of 350 flyable days, possible false advertizing .

All days are flyable, its just the landing you have to worry about. Also there are launches Avenue S, Avenue L, even West Towers facing west?

There might be a way to restore the Capital status. The Aussies would have taken it if they weren't so obsessed with water towing.
