On the Sport2, the pitch pressure is pretty high. Fatigue is noticeable after a long upwind glide. I have found an exercise that really makes the gliding mussels work at home.

Imagine: Topping out at Towers then going on a glide to Trash. With the regular SW component the best glide speed generates a bit of pressure even with the VG on full. After joining the established gaggle you release the VG and try to carve the thermal. When arms are fresh, your light touch and quick response makes for efficient climbing. The fatigue, however, makes for poor thermaling. A sloppy turn slips you from the lift, a steep turn back to the core costs another 50 feet. All the while, everyone else has climbed up and through you.

I normally do push-ups and pull-ups on a bar in my apartment complex. But they don't get to where you need. This one though is like a reverse push:

Up wind or down does not apply to how a glider handles.

sell the weights and buy a modern topless. on full VG the pitch pressure is *really* light. but then again you will work alot harder on roll pressure...

Glider handles the same. However the best speed to fly changes. Up wind means you need to fly faster. Faster means more bar pressure.
