Northerly winds

Are they common this time of year? I thought Santa Ana season was done for the spring. This is only my second full year flying, so I'm wondering if this is normal for April/May.

This is a "La Nina" year. So not typical. It is also the opposite of "El Nino" which is spanish for "The Nino."

The Santa Ana winds can persist into June. Usually, they're done by March or early April.

North winds in May the best present to XC pilots weather can give. When they switch so south cloud base rise to moon. This Wednesday supposted to be such a day.
