First, make sure you have quicktime installed.

I've found in Chrome it is best to RIGHT click on the link and save link. This will download the quicktime movie, so you can view it in quicktime and NOT use the quicktime plugin within the Chrome browser.

This is what happens to the children of people who don't post videos on youtube or vimeo, and make everyone download a gigantic file.
