I want to capture a 3D scan of a flex wing in action. From the best I've googled, this would be the first this has happened.
I don't have an XBOX, I just bought the device and hooked it up to a computer.
I'm thinking about taking it to the beach with a laptop. It needs both a laptop and a DC source.
I suggest 720p and full screen:
:50 playing with a guitar.
to 1:35 part of my head scanned in meshlab.
to 1:50 Scan imported into solidworks. From here all things are possible.
remainder, playing with the kinect software development kit.

You might want to go to hackaday.com and go to the Kinect section of the site and look through the hacks to get some inspiration on how to do this. One that comes to mind is the A Portable, WiFi Enabled Kinect.
