I had a pretty interesting day at Mingus. Only two of us launched. Me and another local pilot. The air was pretty nasty.

I landed short of the Cottonwood airport runway in a large field. When I turned to final, I was literally not moving across the ground. Just coming down like Max does at Dockweiler.

Anyway, check out this launch. Talk about embarrassing.

Yeah, but you should have heard them all before launch. They were fired up and CERTAIN it was going to be an epic day. The gent who launched before me was a long time local pilot. Everyone else was set up and had their harnesses on. I was number two in a 6 man go...

They saw me and Mike get hammered and thought the better of it.

your yaw'ed ass down the ramp was bad. Then the "Oh, my god" as you go to trim.

Let's do the hurricane trip over the 4th.
