Thanks Rob. I hope you had a good flight. Note: Phill's technique (begins at 1:21). It gives him the maximum control. Even when things went wonky he recovered and landed well. He makes a good example to study.

Thing I liked most about your vid was the slow mo, was great seeing landings slowed down to see control inputs, corrections and how different everyone's final settle and flare/run in is. Yes, I always study Phil's landings, I like his control and style very much...

Somewhere I have another one where where Phill comes in with his hands outstretched and feet on the control bar. Then he switches to hands low and moon-walks it then lets go of both hands and runs his Lightspeed across the LZ no-handed. Really good demonstration material for anyone wanting to improve. Next time I'm out I'll have to shoot more at 120fps. It's much better than mere slowing down 30fps video even though the res is 1280x720.

I noticed on youtube the resolution switches from 720p to 480p maybe a few times. It must be automatic. I liked the Northwing at 4:04.

It plays fine now, not sure what was up. The higher frame rates lower the resolution.

Yes, the 120fps frame rate is only good for editing at 1/4 speed or 30fps but is not nearly as crisp at 1/1 speed or taking every fourth frame. If any organization wants to equip me with professional level camera equipment I won't balk.
