I have read the letter dated 10/16/13 in the Member's section and have 4 points to make/add.

1. Contributions to the club INCLUDE your annual membership fee. Crestline has determined that $95 of the $100 annual membership fee is tax deductible.

2. The tax deduction is also available on your STATE tax return.

3. The ability to vote on this should be expanded to include those that do NOT attend the annual Holiday Party.

4. The Letter should include an estimate of the cost to make the conversion. Based on my discussions with the individual involved in the Crestline and Elsinore conversions, the cost was about $1,000.

For those that did the research on this issue and the Club's Charter - GREAT JOB!

There is a reason the vote is being planned for the Holiday Party meeting. There are some (rather peculiar) state rules governing the way the vote may be conducted. If the vote is conducted at a meeting attended by a quorum of the club members, a voice vote is sufficient, subject to subsequent approval by a state administrator in charge of these matters. If a ballot vote is conducted, it would require a unanimous agreement of all the members to pass. Since just getting a ballot returned by ALL of the club's members is nearly impossible, much less a unanimous agreement, it was decided that the party in December represents the best chance to get enough of us gathered in one place to conduct the vote. Therefore, I hope that we get the best turnout ever for the party.

I have never been able to get to the party, and this year may sadly be no exception. So someone please yell YES for me. I think this is a great idea.

Is it possible for people such as Dr. Jeff to sign/submit a form that is used SOLEY to establish a quorum? This is commonly used by HOA. If this is allowed we need to get as many people as possible to sign/submit the form even is they plan on attending the meeting/party.
