Direc TV hang gliding commercial electrocution mass rioting

The hang glider in this commercial hits power lines and causes a mass riot.
The names were changed to protect the innocent - eteam.

I believe that Andy Beem flew that glider from the 1500 and landed in the area directly below.

I understood it was Joe Greblo. Launched the 1500. The collapsing wings were a quick release set-up, and the sparks were computer animation.

Ted Boyse and I did the flying from the 1500 and I flew into the prop power lines. The sparks were added in post production.
Famous director, Tom Kuntz, was hired to make a whole series of comedy spots like this one, taking sparks of truth to absurdity. Many of them are shown on his website at kuntzmanor.com
