We may be flying from Thursday through the weekend at Kagel in Sylmar, weather permitting. If you have your own ride and driver, you're set. The day use fee at Kagel is $10. There are envelopes at the post in the patio of the pavilion. You will need to find someone who can give you directions to launch and the gate combination; better to follow someone up. We usually arrive about 11AM to load up. That's a good time to ask questions about the site, too. The road is OK for non-4X4, high clearance vehicles. If you need a ride, respond and we'll see what we can set up.

Crestline is about an hour away near San Bernardino but it sounds as if you already know Andy Jackson park.

Lake Elsinore is about two hours south.

The high desert, Avenue S and Avenue L are available when the Santa Ana winds (northeast) are blowing but that is not in the extended forecast at this time.

Thanks Jim. No driver, what time do you all meet in the LZ? Carm has flown Kagel a couple times.

Does anyone have info they can share or contact info for the Hemet area?

If I am reading the thermal index right, Winchester might have potential. However I have no idea where or if it goes by another name.

Thanks ... Terry
