The Kagel road will be getting some major work done over the next 2 weeks and our access will be restricted. The following is from Joe G.:

The Kagel road will be closed daily due to the Forest Service brush clearing as they can't get their equipment off the road and don't want to be asked to move their vehicles during their work. They're bending over backwards to try to make our launch accessible to our pilots and they're hopeful they can end work by 1 pm each day to minimize the impact on us.
We want to keep our club member vehicles out of there until at least 1 pm each day for the next couple of weeks (excluding Sundays). We've been asked to cooperate with the contractor doing the work so please don't enter the gate until after 1 pm and please treat the contractor courteously. Be patient if they can't get the road cleared of vehicles and debris by 1 pm as they are not obligated to do so but are willing to try.

So at this point, the road is officially closed until at least 1 pm each day. We're very glad that they chose not to tell us to keep out and come back when they're finished like so many Forest Service Districts do.

There is another brand new combination to the gate that will be posted on the club's website tomorrow after 11 am. We'd like all vehicle owners and drivers to get the combination from the website where we will have updates and further instructions.
