Google's results on the Hubbard v. McClay v. Towers debate

So you don't have to read farther: Towers wins.

Straight raw google estimated numbers:
Hubbard -> Kagel = 15.8 miles and 36 minutes.
McClay -> Kagel = 15.8 miles and 38 minutes.
Hubbard -> Towers = 23.6 miles and 36 minutes.

This doesn't include:
gate hassle
wear & tear on tires
need of high clearance vehicle
erosion of the kagel road
driver skill to drive down the kagel road (gate again)
topes [speed bumps] on McClay

within the few minutes it took to make this post and post the picture; all the numbers changed. Apparently the new google time-traffic estimates also alter distance?Â¿ So take this with a grain of salt.

Whether or not Towers is a shorter trip, we all know it's the easier drive... If you have your IV rating or a III + instructor blessing.

However, if 5 or 6 pilots show up at Towers, keep in mind that set-up space with easy access to launch is scarce. And, the launch really needs some work. It's been years since the ramp was cleared of brush. A few of us cut down some of the tip-catchers last year but Towers really needs a dedicated work crew.
